The Skallywag D2 Dagger is a compact fixed-blade tool engineered for controlled, close-contact defensive application. The blade is CNC milled from a solid billet of D2 tool steel, heat treated to a hardness of HRC 58–60 for edge stability and durability, and finished with a protective PVD coating. Overall length measures 7.75 inches with a 2.5-inch blade, delivering a balanced profile at an approximate weight of 0.25 pounds for efficient carry and deployment.
Both edges are ground to a 40-degree angle that follows the blade geometry to the point, while the blade flats remain unsharpened to support directional control. A large integrated ring at the handle accommodates one- or two-finger retention, enhancing security during gross motor movement and compatibility with gloved use. The dagger includes a single-row MOLLE-compatible sheath for secure attachment and accessible carry within tactical loadouts.
