Hot Stuff Original is a thin cyanoacrylate (CA) adhesive with a viscosity of 3 centipoise (cps), comparable to water and exhibits no surface tension. For precisely fitting components, position them first, then apply this instant adhesive along the seam, allowing it to wick into the joint. For tight-fitting joints of non-porous materials, Hot Stuff thin CA glue provides optimal results as it does not introduce additional space between the components. By aligning the parts prior to application, you ensure they remain perfectly positioned upon curing. This thin super glue is also suitable for filling and preventing the propagation of splits and hairline cracks in furniture, gunstocks, wood being turned on a lathe (such as pen blanks) and stone. To reinforce stone and porous wood, apply Hot Stuff CA glue across the entire surface, allowing it to penetrate the pores and cracks. Additionally, this instant adhesive can be used on carbon fiber or fiberglass cloth as an alternative to resin (refer to our fiberglassing tutorial). Hot Stuff CA glue is effective for hardening other types of fabric as well; notably, professional dancers in leading ballet companies use Hot Stuff to fortify the material of their pointe shoes (refer to our pointe shoes tutorial). The curing time is approximately five seconds for tightly fitting, non-porous parts. We recommend using the NCF Quick CA glue accelerator to ensure a complete bond cure. To extend shelf life, store unopened bottles in the freezer. Opened bottles of super glue (any brand) will have a reduced shelf life if frequently removed from and returned to cold storage.
