RCBS self-centering, replaceable neck bushings are designed to work with the gold medal match series dies, giving reloaders the power to precisely control neck tension for each round. This helps prevent case neck brass from hardening prematurely, leading to improved accuracy and longer-lasting brass. To fully benefit, high-quality brass with consistent neck thickness is required. Determine the proper size by subtracting 0.002 - 0.003 inches from a loaded cartridge's neck diameter or by doubling the case neck wall thickness, adding the bullet diameter and subtracting 0.001 inches. RCBS also advises keeping bushings one or two sizes up and down from your target for added flexibility.
