This minimizes brass work hardening in the neck and extends case life while enhancing shooting accuracy. Consistent neck wall thickness in your brass is necessary to realize these advantages. Determine bushing size by subtracting 0.002 - 0.003 inches from the outside neck diameter of a loaded round or by doubling the neck wall thickness, adding bullet diameter and subtracting 0.001 inches. RCBS recommends a range of bushing sizes around your target.
