Optimized for the RCBS gold medal match series, these self-centering neck bushings enable users to achieve the perfect neck tension on each round, which reduces brass work hardening and leads to longer-lasting cases and tighter groupings. Their effectiveness depends on using brass with uniform neck wall thickness. The ideal bushing size can be found by measuring a loaded cartridge's outside neck diameter and subtracting 0.002 - 0.003 inches or by doubling the neck wall thickness, adding the bullet diameter and subtracting 0.001 inches. RCBS advises reloaders to own bushings slightly above and below the calculated diameter.
