To determine the optimal overall length (OAL) for any bullet in under two minutes, utilize a cleaning rod and a set of calipers. This straightforward kit includes two clamps that can be easily affixed to any cleaning rod with a diameter of 1/4 inches or less. Begin by inserting the cleaning rod into the bolt face and securing one clamp at the end of the bolt face. Remove the cleaning rod and insert a round into the chamber. Then, position the end of the cleaning rod against the back of the round and attach the second clamp at the end of the bolt face. Finally, remove the rod and measure the distance between the two clamps or use it as a gauge to verify the seating depth setup during your reloading process.
