The Brownells carrier key staking tool is a precision-engineered, solid steel instrument designed to stake carrier key screws optimally from the sides, ensuring they remain secure even under intense rapid-fire conditions. This tool eliminates the complications associated with using a hammer and punch, which can slip and potentially damage the key, screws or carrier. It securely holds the carrier and positions the key for precise dimpling by tightening the four hex screws on the tool. An additional retaining screw on the top of the tool prevents any movement of the carrier. The tip of this screw is machined flat to ensure it applies uniform retaining force without marring the carrier. All screw tips are hardened to Rc 58-62 for enhanced durability. The Brownells carrier key staking screws are available separately in a pack of four.
