Aluma-Hyde II becomes dry to the touch within minutes and achieves full curing in approximately one week. The application process is as follows - heat both the part and the Aluma-Hyde II to approximately 90 deg F. Vigorously shake the Aluma-Hyde II for several minutes to ensure proper mixing, then apply a medium coat to ensure adequate coverage. Reapplication can occur within a few minutes, but it should not exceed thirty minutes. If Aluma-Hyde II begins the curing process, you must wait until it is fully cured before applying additional coats. To expedite the curing process to roughly two days, circulate warm air (90 deg F is effective) around the part. A primer coat is not necessary to achieve a robust, durable, abrasion-resistant and rustproof finish.
