Testing indicates a protection duration of 10 years - 15 years when steel components are wrapped in GUNWRAP, sealed in plastic and stored in a cool environment. This product will not harm bluing or steel surfaces. It is not recommended for use with aluminum, silver, brass or copper. While it may cause cosmetic staining on nickel plating, such stains can typically be cleaned off. It is incompatible with certain older lacquer finishes, though modern finishes remain unaffected.
