California Magazine Capacity Ruling
Posted by Kris Vermillion on April 10, 2019
On March 29, 2019, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California held that California Penal Code Section 32310, which banned magazines with a capacity greater than ten rounds, was unconstitutional and enjoined enforcement of that code section.
In keeping with our mission to manufacture firearms and accessories that provide the maximum benefits of freedom at a competitive price point, Palmetto State Armory proudly became one of the first firearms manufacturers in the country to begin accepting and shipping orders for magazines with a capacity greater than ten rounds to the state of California. We were so successful in our effort that the anti-gun, political players in California used our Facebook and Instagram posts as an exhibit in their motion to the court objecting to the decision.

Building Your First Tactical EDC Kit
Posted by Kris Vermillion on February 12, 2019
As the saying goes, 'It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.' Everyday Carry (EDC) Kits were created by people who live by this statement. You're here because you've made the choice to be as prepared as possible. We're here to help.
What is an EDC Kit? In short, it's the practical AND tactical items you need every day. Your environment will dictate the approach you take in building out your EDC Kit. Bear in mind, there are a few different perspectives on how and what to prepare for. Some people choose to keep a bag in the trunk of their car that they label a 'Get Home Bag', designed with the sole intent of getting home in the event of an emergency. That bag is separate from what some would call a 'Bug Out Bag' which would be designed for long-term mobility and sustainability in the event of a catastrophic event. This article is focusing specifically on your EDC Kit. What items do you need to complete the tasks you do every day, and what items can you keep with you in case of minor emergencies or unforeseen projects? Answering those questions will help you fine-tune your EDC Kit to your specific needs. With this in mind, consider what your needs are, and assemble your tactical everyday carry essentials accordingly.

Magazine And Bump Stock Ban: Will the people comply?
Posted by Kris Vermillion on January 29, 2019
With the blessing of both the NRA and President Trump, the ATF has suddenly discovered a new interpretation of the National Firearms Act of 1934. The latest epipheny finds that somehow the legislation from 1934 prohibits bump stock devices which were introduced to the market in 2010 and considered perfectly legal until 2018. Weird how that works.
Bump stocks have been banned because the government believes they are the only way to fire semi-automatic weapons at an accelerated rate. Apparently they've never heard of belt loops. White House press secretary, Sarah Sanders, states that bump stocks fall within the definition of machine guns, which are so heavily regulated by federal firearms law that ownership might as well be explicitly banned. The rule is now in effect and owners of the bump stock firearms accessory have until March 16, 2019, to either destroy or surrender them, or become an overnight felon.
Will the American people comply?
