Building on the success of our match and tactical scope mounts, we designed the Hunt rings to be lightweight, rigid and capable of securely holding an optic in environments with significant recoil. Achieving this was a complex manufacturing challenge. Our solution involved developing a process that produces final-bore matched rings with raw aluminum internals, ensuring a grip on your optic that is both reliable and precise, surpassing any other product available. The manufacturing process begins with the production of bases and caps in separate batches. Unlike many manufacturers who anodize and then assemble these parts, we incorporate additional steps to enhance quality. After anodization, the components are fully assembled and placed into specially designed rail fixtures. The caps are torqued to specification over custom-made spacers, allowing the rings to properly secure the optic. The sets are then final-bored in our state-of-the-art machining centers. Once machining is complete, the rings are removed in matched sets and packaged together, ensuring that each pair is perfectly aligned and reliable for long-term use.
